- Measure yourself in front of a mirror or have someone help you to ensure the tape measure is straight and level.
Now that you know the basics let’s get started with the measurements:
Chest/Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest/bust, keeping the tape measure under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest part of your torso, located above your belly button and below your ribcage.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.
Sleeve Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your wrist. To ensure the most accurate measurement, bend your elbow slightly and measure to the wrist bone.
Shoulder Width: Measure from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other shoulder, across your upper back.
Back Length: Measure from the base of your neck to the bottom of your spine or where you would like the jacket to end.
Bicep: Measure around the widest part of your bicep with your arm relaxed at your side.
